Periodontal Treatments
Your gums are the foundation of your oral health, supporting your teeth and contributing to your overall well-being. At Periodontal Associates of Memphis, we provide a full range of periodontal treatments to address gum disease, maintain oral hygiene, and improve the health of your gums and supporting structures. Our experienced team is here to ensure your periodontal care is both effective and comfortable.
Our Periodontal Services Include:
- Bite Therapy: An imbalanced bite can lead to jaw pain, headaches, and uneven wear on your teeth. Our bite therapy treatments aim to correct misalignments and restore harmony to your bite, improving both function and comfort.
- Gingivectomy: Excess gum tissue can trap bacteria and create an uneven appearance. A gingivectomy removes this tissue, reducing the risk of gum disease and enhancing your smile. This procedure is often recommended for patients with gum overgrowth due to genetics or certain medications.
- Laser Periodontal Treatment (LANAP): Utilizing advanced laser technology, LANAP is a minimally invasive option for treating gum disease. This precise method promotes faster healing while targeting infected tissue, leaving healthy tissue intact.
- Scaling and Root Planing: Also known as a deep cleaning, this procedure removes plaque and tartar buildup from below the gumline, preventing further gum disease and inflammation. Scaling and root planing is often the first step in addressing periodontal issues.
- Oral Pathology: Detecting oral abnormalities early can make a significant difference in treatment outcomes. Our team performs thorough oral exams to identify and diagnose potential issues, such as lesions or suspicious growths, ensuring your peace of mind.
- Oral Hygiene: Proper oral hygiene is essential for maintaining healthy teeth and gums. We provide professional cleanings and personalized education to help you care for your smile at home.
- Osseous Surgery: For advanced gum disease, osseous surgery reshapes the bone and surrounding tissue to eliminate deep periodontal pockets, making it easier to maintain oral health and prevent further damage.
- Periodontal Maintenance: After treatment for gum disease, regular maintenance visits are crucial to keeping your gums healthy. These visits include thorough cleanings and monitoring to catch any potential issues early.
With personalized care plans and advanced techniques, our team is committed to helping you achieve and maintain optimal periodontal health.
Dental Implants
Missing teeth can affect your ability to eat, speak, and smile with confidence. At Periodontal Associates of Memphis, we specialize in dental implants to restore both the function and beauty of your smile. Our expert team uses state-of-the-art technology to provide long-lasting and natural-looking results.
Our Dental Implant Services Include:
- All-on-4 Dental Implants: This innovative technique allows us to replace an entire arch of teeth using just four strategically placed implants. All-on-4 is an efficient solution for patients seeking a full-mouth restoration.
- Zirconia Dental Implants: For patients who prefer a metal-free option, zirconia implants offer a holistic and biocompatible solution. These implants provide the same durability and functionality as titanium implants while maintaining a natural appearance.
- Teeth in a Day: Imagine walking into our office with missing teeth and leaving the same day with a fully restored smile. Teeth in a Day combines advanced technology and expertise to deliver immediate results.
- Implant-Supported Dentures: Unlike traditional dentures, implant-supported dentures stay securely in place, eliminating the need for adhesives and allowing you to eat, speak, and smile with confidence.
- Bone Grafting: Patients with insufficient jawbone density can still qualify for dental implants through bone grafting. This procedure rebuilds the bone structure, creating a stable foundation for implants.
- Bone Preservation & Regeneration: After tooth loss or extraction, maintaining bone density is crucial for long-term oral health. Our bone preservation techniques ensure your jaw remains strong and healthy.
- Tooth Extractions: Sometimes, a damaged or decayed tooth needs to be removed to preserve overall oral health. Our team performs extractions with care, often preparing the site for future implant placement.
Whether you’re missing one tooth or need a full-mouth restoration, our dental implant solutions are designed to meet your unique needs, providing you with a smile that looks and feels natural.
Cosmetic Periodontal Treatments
A healthy smile is a beautiful smile, and our cosmetic periodontal treatments are designed to enhance both the health and aesthetics of your gums. Whether you’re looking to correct gum recession, improve symmetry, or lighten dark gums, our team offers advanced techniques to help you achieve your ideal smile.
Our Cosmetic Periodontal Services Include:
- Gum Biopsy: Early detection is key when it comes to oral health. A gum biopsy helps diagnose abnormalities, ensuring prompt and effective treatment if needed.
- Crown Lengthening: By reshaping gum tissue and bone, crown lengthening exposes more of the tooth structure. This procedure can prepare a tooth for a restoration or enhance the appearance of your smile.
- Frenectomy: A restrictive frenulum can impact oral function and comfort. A frenectomy releases this tissue, improving mobility and reducing discomfort.
- Gum Grafting: Gum recession can make teeth appear longer and increase sensitivity. Gum grafting restores lost tissue, protecting your teeth and enhancing your smile’s appearance.
- Lightening of Dark Gums: Pigmentation can create an uneven gum color. Our gum lightening treatments provide a more uniform and aesthetic look, boosting your confidence.
- Pinhole Surgical Technique: This minimally invasive procedure corrects gum recession without the need for traditional grafting. The pinhole surgical technique offers quicker recovery and beautiful results.
- Orthodontic Uncoveries: Sometimes, teeth may need to be exposed to facilitate orthodontic treatment. Our team performs orthodontic uncoveries with precision, ensuring optimal outcomes.
- Soft Tissue Ridge Augmentation: After tooth loss, soft tissue augmentation restores the natural contours of the gums, creating a more aesthetic smile.
- Wilckodontics: Accelerate your orthodontic treatment with Wilckodontics, a technique that enhances tooth movement through minor periodontal adjustments.
- Temporary Anchorage Devices (TADs): These small devices support orthodontic treatment by providing stability and control, ensuring precise tooth movement.
Our cosmetic periodontal treatments are tailored to your goals, helping you achieve a smile that is not only healthy but also radiant and beautiful.
